Does my device work under Linux?
The informations about the different EasyCAP clones have a new home:

At present I know about four completely hardware different but similar looking EasyCAP models which are mentioned on the Easycap wiki page.
On this linuxtv.org wiki page I've put together all the stuff you need for device identification and informations whether your EasyCAP is supportet under Linux or not.
For the Syntek STK1160 chip based EasyCAP (the only EasyCAP I personally own) I've created another linuxtv.org wiki page with further information.
